Showing My Work: Weekly Cards Predicted the Election Backlash?
It’s important to me that I help promote psychic literacy and transparency. To not acknowledge it, or worse outright reflexively reject it, is akin to refusing the existence of the five basic senses. We don’t dispute sight, taste, smell, touch and hearing. We accept these senses as reliably functioning systems. We benefit from understanding them and we don’t reject them even when there is perceptual inconsistency from person to person.
You see a blue dress. I see a teal dress. Cilantro tastes similar to parsley while others think they’re eating soap-flavored grass. That we don’t fully understand these perceptual differences doesn’t discount the sense. Psychic sensing exists too, with varying degrees of individual perception, and it took me years to recognize it.
This blog post won’t delve into each facet of psychic phenomena. This blog post kicks off with the basic form of psychic phenomena, tarot cards foretelling a future event. In the next four weeks I’ll use “weekly pulls” to explain and describe the interpretation process. I dissect the basics of a tarot pull from card selection to card meaning through to interpretation. This week I show cards I pulled in October, for the week of November 16.
The aim of this particular post is to document how a card pulled in October anticipated actual events for the week of November 16, 2020. Included is the analysis and a picture of the journal where I hand wrote the interpretation/prediction, which is about the 2020 Election. It’s not an example to prove that I predicted the election, it’s an analysis of card interpretation using an event with wide recognition. I also like this example because if you ‘buy into’ divination as a possibility then the story told in the images of the cards are striking in their sharp symbolism. It’s not a difficult interpretation. Reasonable persons could look at both the explicit language on the card as well as the imagery and see its relevance to the timeframe of analysis.

Backlash to Election Results
Let’s start with this banger of a pull, “Failure & Navigation”. Important details to know, the first card was pulled October 25, 2020, in a Timeline Spread that pulls 12 cards as a preview of the next 12 weeks/three months. I’ve talked about the unreliability of weekly pulls but the last time I used the Timeline Spread (for months August, September and October) it was a bullseye in personal accuracy. I’m testing it again with November - January.
The Seven of Disks card, aka "Failure" presented for this week, November 16. In the guidebook to the Tabula Mundi deck, Book M: Liber Mundi, the deck creator, M.M. Meleen, explains that Seven of Disks is the failed garden. It’s the architect’s attempt met with abortive restriction, “The promise of success has not come to fruition.” Simply put, with this deck the card foretells of an effort dying on the vine.

Look at the line beginning with, “November could be predicting Biden presidency…” click to enlarge
In my tarot journal I wrote, “November could be predicting Biden presidency. Star card pushing down setting sun, red sun connects to the red Knight of Wands. ‘Cross in 7 Disks, “evangelicals” having a tantrum while Queen of Disks looks on patiently.”
Broad Meaning: Biden symbolized as the Star card pushing down Fiery Wand King (Trump). Backlash (7 Disk/Failure) that seeds transformation (Queen of Disks).”
Now, I hadn’t looked at this card since I originally pulled it and in full candor it’s not like on the evening of October 25th I saw this card and thought, “Trump lost the election and he feels crucified.” But I definitely got the sense this would be the week that the full extent of Trump’s election loss would be felt. The Cross imagery psychically mapped to how I emotionally see Trump supporters although it wasn’t only his evangelical supporters in disbelief over the election results.
[I’m tempted to explain the entire line of November, how I mapped the Star card to Biden and Knight of Wands to Trump, especially with the color correspondences, but it would turn this post into another election prediction.]
TBH I didn’t get the vibe of riots or predict his supporters would organize a march but the suit of Disks symbolizes embodied action and it’s a strong depiction of monstrous loss. Someone, and many people, do feel crucified. It's the fall of their man. Feelings of what they've built, their Eden, is ruined. It's Saturn barreling through Taurus, tearing down walls and demolishing the foundations.
Tabula Mundi, Seven of Disks “Failure”
Just look at the phrases being tossed around since the election,
“Failed election”, “Failure of democracy”, "Stop the Steal”, "Election Fraud”, "Stolen election”
So here we have the week of the "MAGA March", demonstration of support for the persecuted President Trump, with conflict occurring and damage to bodies and property. President Trump's niece, and others, discussed how much the President hates to lose, to fail, and we see the consequences of that playing out by thousands organizing this march.
[Inserting a bit of backward looking interpretation, meaning I didn’t catch these correspondences at the time of the pull/interpretation. Looking at them now, as of the date of editing this blog post, 11/17/20, I’ll call out images from 7 Disks: the ‘obelisk’ image at top of card, jumps out as the Washington Monument and location of MAGA March. Also, the crown image at top of card. Seeing many graphics depicting Trump wearing a crown, both in the years leading up to the election and in election opinion pieces. Thought it was interesting but not necessarily part of argument.]
Of course, one needn’t be psychic to predict this reaction. Trump foreshadowed this position during his presidency but do keep in mind that the cards were randomly shuffled and pulled. Furthermore, the deck selection of Tabula Mundi rather than another deck from my collection suggests that the pulled cards weren’t in fact just random.
It’s not that I’m making the case that I “predicted” what’s been blatantly foreshadowed for months or that I reverse engineered “my prediction” to neatly fit in with the election narrative. I am making the case that a seemingly random pull of 78 cards did sync up with future events. I didn’t just pull Biden’s name out of the air. On two different occasions, using two different decks with two very different sets of symbolism, I sensed a Democratic and Biden victory. Not only did I interpret the cards for that election outcome but I anticipated deceit on election night and then two weeks later an expression of failure.
Sure, “Failure” can be be true for an infinite number of scenarios but what are the odds that I pull 7 Disks the actual week there is a congregation of thousands of Trump supporters protesting the failure of the election system in their eyes?
My shuffle. My intention. My interpretation synced up with the events as they happened.
RWS Six of Swords
The Crossing Card
Now, on to the second card, the crossing card. I pulled Six of Swords on Sunday, November 15, 2020, in preparation for my upcoming week and decided that I’d pair my cards from the Timeline Spread with my typical weekly pull. It’s a new twist and I’m always looking for novel ways to pull and pair and play with the cards.
I asked, "What to know about my week?” Immediately upon seeing, Six of Swords, I knew it would be about “Navigation" particularly helping others across troubled water. For many it feels like the sky is falling. Reaching the other side of anguish feels miles away. Others feel like they’re drowning but the waters aren't treacherous. With this card it’s the symbolism of the imagery, rather numerology or astrology, that came through. The suit of Swords tells me it’s a week of communication and expression of ideas. Especially in service to those feeling persecuted. Be a gentle truth teller. The Lost Eden is a mirage of misery.
The image showed me how my communication would be expressed, the form it would take. Service. Assistance. Providing clarity.
To note, after I pulled 6 Swords, Navigation, a client scheduled an appointment for this week. Considering my recent Instagram and website activity, Six of Swords and its symbolism of navigation by clarity, discernment and divination rings the bell of accuracy.
