Only Fools Predict the Election
The night Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg died I did something I rarely attempt. I pulled cards to inquire about the election outcome. I don't normally pull for these sensational types of questions like, “Who wins the election?” These predictions are incredibly hard and a fast way to blow up credibility.
Detour: Professionally, I discourage this type of divination because it’s complicated and complex. Consider all the variables influencing elections. In essence you’re attempting to predict the influence of advertising, media coverage, collective mood, effects of pandemic, election interference, and how millions of humans will vote. If you only considered how humans vote you would have predicted Hillary Clinton in 2016. If you considered the engineered constraint of the electoral college, weather, social media influences and the dozens of additional influences then you may have predicted Trump. At least that’s my theory on divination.
It’s not enough to understand how individuals behave. Psychics must consider the energetic landscape. They must understand the variables and consider the strength of chaos. To predict is to see the interplay between many many forces converging on one day.
Good psychics know to consider these influences. Smart psychics know better than to attempt it.
Only fools predict elections.
But I did pull cards about the election because hours before the news of Justice Ginsburg’s death I felt sick to my stomach with dread and anxiety. I was phenomenally drained and while resting I felt tension surge through my body. My stomach twisted into knots and I felt incredibly anxious. I don’t typically spend hours lying around in bed but I did that day. Then the news of her Honor’s death was announced.
My body registers collective pain before it reaches consciousness. The same experience happened with Notre Dame. For reasons I’m still trying to understand my para-sensory abilities present as pre-cognition that registers as physical sensation, which seems to be tied to collective emotion.
Detour: Some psychics operate on a strong individual basis where they connect with a client and bring forth confident messages from loved ones and divine future events. Other psychics, like myself, operate on a different register, attuned to collective energy as well as individual messages. I can’t explain the differences but see it analogous to musical ability. Each of us is born with ability to play music. For many of us that ability goes undeveloped, a few go on to play several instruments, and others became great vocalists. Not everyone can be an opera singer and only a few can be really good playing a range of instruments. The same is true of psychic ability. Being born psychic doesn’t mean you can divine AND connect with deceased spirits AND have pre-cognition AND are clairsentient. Developing psychic ability means understanding how you register your para-sensory experiences, whether it’s through feeling or pre-cognition or other extra-sensory means. End detour.
If ever I was going to pull this kind of question, it would be when I felt connected to the collective consciousness like I did last night. In light of Justice Ginsburg's death, I asked what needs to be known about the election.
The Interpretation
Card 1: Three of Swords
Card 2: Three of Cups
Card 3: Judgment
First deceit. Followed by celebration. Then the new age.
First observation: the tarot pull doesn’t declare an outright winner. I take this to mean the outcome is in flux. The cards can be true for either outcome, meaning, Trump supporters may reflexively perceive deception if Biden wins and the same is true for a Biden victory.
What’s encouraging about the Three of Swords is that it tracks with current sentiment. In the months leading up to the election there are claims of interference, distribution of misleading information (e.g. vote-in mailing) and it is well documented that in the face of defeat President Trump will assert the election is rigged.
Thus, Three of Swords shows me I’m in the right ‘energetic ballpark’. It’s attuned to an outcome that very much tracks with the collective anticipation that the election outcome may not unfold in a straight-forward manner. I am always encouraged when a pulled card, with unambiguous meaning, shows up in a reading that validates the current trajectory.
In this instance I sense a particular, deliberate attempt to claim initial victory on election night when it’s not a clear-cut outcome.
After the obfuscation that is the Three of Swords there will be celebration. Again, this outcome can apply to both Trump and Biden supporters. And again, it’s a card with unambiguous meaning of celebration and joy and fellowship. I sense this is a Democratic victory because I register a message ecstatic joy, a sentiment born of the relief from despair. If it were a Trump victory, I would imagine seeing the Six of Wands where celebration presents as the triumph of will, with a bit of domination in its energy.
Finally the card of the New Era. Even though I’m using the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, RWS, the hit I got for interpretation was reading it like the Thoth card for Key XX, The Aeon. For awhile now I’ve been pulling Judgement/Aeon when significant psychic shifts happen. I experience pre-cognition through dreams, as well as psychic tarot, and I’ve known for awhile that a new era is being ushered in. Long before the protests of George Floyd, the resurgence of Black Lives Matter, I dreamed of seeing a new shining city in the clouds. For those unfamiliar, the city in a cloud dream is archetypal symbolism for a new era.
On a personal level, to see this card present in a pull for the election, with the totality of both dreaming of a new era and repeatedly pulling Key XX for energetic shifts, it tells me that the election results will bring in a new era. If I go with the interpretation of a new era then the prediction tracks with a Democratic victory rather than a continuance of Trump governance.
