October 2020 Recap Because My Memory Is...

My memory is a sieve. It’s an inherent trait that I live in the present, tilt into the future. The past is is behind me and fast fading. Which is why I take a half day to review what I did each month. Got tired of asking myself, “What did I accomplish last month? Anything?”

Today I recapped October and jeez am I glad I logged my efforts. The larger world may be a dumpster fire but I kept my sh*t together this month and produced.

October Efforts:

  • PRACTICED & REHEARSED videos for website and Instagram. Still feeling shy and self-conscious but sucked it up. Deleted a gigabyte of video fails.

  • Added NEW TAROT SPREAD to repertoire. “The Work”, by Rachel Pollack, is a crisp spread for running scenarios. Shows how an outcome changes when different choices are made.

  • Tightened up my tarot craft with 20+ HOURS OF PRACTICE.

  • INJURED MY KNEE chasing a runaway Schnauzer. When she realized I was hurt she doubled-back to check on me and it almost made me forget the pain.

  • LISTENING to Q Clearance by @jake_hanrahan. Conspiracy theories are the new False Prophets. Q Clearance investigates the identity of QAnon.

  • WATCHED The Wailing. Phenomenally creepy. Made it to my Top 10.

  • DID MY HOMEWORK and researched the amendments, proposals and candidates on my Florida ballot. VOTED EARLY.

  • Experienced CLAIRALIENCE for the first time.

  • FIGURED OUT how to make animated posts for Insta. Made some cute and fun posts. Will keep at it.

  • EXERCISED. Yoga. Walking. 22 times.

  • KNOCKED OUT nagging items on my list of nagging items to do.

  • Resumed DREAM JOURNALING. It can be tedious and take forever but my psychic practice suffers when I neglect it.

  • BINGED the podcast Verified @verifiedpod. Sharpened my distrust of online marketplaces with vague safety protocols. 14 women were raped when they trusted the verification process at Couchsurfing. Well made. Compelling story. Responsibly told.

  • WROTE to my Senator objecting the confirmation of a Supreme Court Justice before the election. Thank you @ResistBot for making it easy. I took advantage of the service.

  • EXPERIMENTED with ancestral and past life recall. For now it’s a personal pursuit…and given my disinterest in the past, not an obvious choice but Benebell Wen offers an online course called Accessing Genetic Memory with the Tarot and the practice pull was freakishly resonant.

My journal/planner is an essential remembrance tool. All of this recorded using Benebell Wen’s Metaphysician’s Day Planner.
